Approval for export to specific markets

QCRS maintains  a list of establishments approved to export to the EU Market (Download- Apriil,2024) Licensed Fish processing factories independent Cold Stores are approved on request if they comply with specific food hygiene and food safety criteria required by EU. QCRS  verifies this by document control and on-site inspection and inform the competent authority of EU (DG Sante) about the updated Approval List.

Requirements for Approval:

  • Food Safety Management System shall be HACCP based and specifically it shall document
    • supplier control ensuring only the use of raw materials from fishing vessels and farms that are listed/approved for EU (traceability)
    • that specific microbial and chemical food safety criteria are addressed as appropriate
  • For export of products from aquaculture the establishment and all farms that supply raw materials shall participate in the NRMP
  • Previous inspection reports and status of any corrective action requests shall indicate that compliance with EU hygiene requirements are achieved.

Conditions for maintaining of Approval:

The establishment shall achieve and maintain Level A or Level B in inspection and HACCP audit in order to maintain the Approval for export to EU. The QCRS have established procedures to suspend or withdraw the Approval for export to EU if the establishments do not demonstrate compliance with requirements.

QCRS maintains a list of processing establishments     (Download – April,2024)  allowed to export to Vietnam. Licensed Fish processing factories will be listed on request if they comply with specific food hygiene and food safety criteria required by Vietnam. QCRS will verify this by document control and on-site inspection and inform the competent authority of Vietnam (NAFIQAD) about the updated list.

Licensed Fish processing factories will be listed on request if they comply with specific food hygiene and food safety criteria required by China. QCRS will verify this by document control and on-site inspection and inform the competent authority of China (CNCA, Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China) about the updated list.

Minister, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation was signed with GACC on protocols for wild caught and aquaculture to export to China. The protocols can be seen as below:

Processing Plants must comply with the  GACC requirements to be approved as follows;

To conduct the registration of processing plants, business operators shall comply in accordance with the procedure (Procedure of GACC Registration)

To export to China, the business operators shall register via the attached link below;

Business Operators see the list of GACC approved processing plants of Myanmar as below;

Myanmar has been approved to export aquaculture products to China in 2024 and QCRS maintain a list of approved aquaculture species  (Download-May,2024)and approved wild caught species (Download-May, 2024)
