Annual Planning of Audits and Inspections

All business operators licensed to produce and/or store fishery products  intended for export from Myanmar are subject to regular inspection and audit.

The number of inspections/audits per year per operator is risk based including the food safety risk related with the products, and  the level of compliance.

HACCP Audit of Processing factories

QCRS maintains a list of establishments approved to export.  Licensed processing factories should maintain their facilities in good hygienic conditions and apply HACCP based food safety management systems adequate to ensure efficient control of hazards related with the operation and products.

Inspection of GAqP food safety of aquaculture farms

QCRS verifies that the farm conditions, facilities, procedures and practices prevent potential food safety hazards efficiently and guarantee traceability and food safety of the raw materials processed and produced. The verification of GAqP is in support to the National  Monitoring Programme for residues of veterinary medicines and environmental contaminants NRMP.

Inspection of hygiene and food safety conditions of fishing vessels

All licensed fishing vessels that request listing to supply processing factories approved for export to EU.

QCRS verifies that the vessels structure, equipment, procedures and practices prevent potential food safety hazards efficiently and guarantee traceability and food safety of the raw materials.

Any observed non-compliance with legal requirements or good handling practices should be noted and discussed immediately with the crew member/vessel representative.
