The QCRS Official Control System cover all official control activities necessary to verify that fishery products, aimed for export from Myanmar, complies with the applicable food safety criteria on the relevant export markets. The official controls encompasses the ‘farm to table’ principle and are therefore conducted at all steps in the supply chain, including the rearing and fishing of living aquatic resources, on-shore handling, storage, processing and distribution to overseas markets. The official controls includes also control of inputs with direct influence on food safety, specifically feed, chemicals and veterinary medicines for aquaculture.
