Fish processing factories bigger than SMEs producing frozen, chilled, dried and fermented fishery products in Myanmar need to have a Licence for processing by the QCRS of Department of Fisheries. Myanmar Department of Fisheries Directive 1/2006 define SMEs to be establishments with up to 100 employees and up 5 mio. Kyats in turnover.
Licence are issued to establishments with valid Company Registration by Ministry of Commerce and valid business license from Regional City Development Committee and which comply with food hygiene and safety criteria stipulated in DOF Directives 8/2018.QCRS makes inspection to evaluate compliance with food hygiene and safety criteria.
